Activity instructor

Activity Instructors are employed at outdoor centres to deliver structured sessions in one or more outdoor activities.

The exact role can range from a specific activity such as a "Climbing Instructor" to a group of activities such as a "Watersports Instructor" or a full range of land and water-based activities in a "Multi Activity Instructor" role.

Activity Instructors are usually required to have experience and NGB (national governing body) qualifications in specific activities, e.g. RYA Dinghy Instructor or GNAS Archery award. As well as preparing and delivering activity sessions, Instructor roles often include responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of activity equipment and activity areas.
