Development Tutor (Scale 4)

Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Development Tutor (Scale 4).

The role requires a practitioner to plan, deliver and innovate personal development programmes, predominately using outdoor adventurous activities, to engage Edinburgh's socially excluded young people.

Your ability to inspire and relate to our challenging client group, along with your awareness of issues affecting young people, is key.

Requirements

With a passion for the outdoors and proven relevant work experience, you will ideally have at least three qualifications in the following areas and a desire to gain more:

• Mountain / BASP First Aid Certificate
• ML Summer
• SPA
• Level 2 Canoe Coach
• Local Cave Leader
• RSA Counselling
• ML Winter / MIA
• Level 3 Sea / Surf Coach
• Level 3 Inland Kayak Coach
• Level 3 Canoe Coach
• Youth work or outdoor education qualifications
• You will also have a full clean driving licence, ideally with D1 + E enabling you to drive minibuses with a trailer.
