Girlguiding UK are recruiting for a Head of Activity Centre Business Operations reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive.

As Head of Activity Centre Business Operations you will be responsible to the Training and Activity Centre Board for the development, implementation and evaluation of the Training and Activity Centre business strategy.

The successful applicant will manage and support the operational managers at each centre to ensure that the strategy is delivered consistently and effectively and that financial targets are met while business is conducted using established policies and procedures and in line with the ethos and values of Girlguiding UK.

Requirements

The successful applicant must have detailed knowledge or have worked within the outdoor activities, leisure or tourism sectors with extensive experience at a senior, strategic level in this field.

Applicants must have demonstrable management skills and proven experience in supporting a team through change, as well as an understanding of the complexities surrounding managing the maintenance of sizeable estates as an organisational asset.

You will have broad knowledge of budgeting and marketing and must demonstrate proven commercial success within a previous role. You must have a proven track record for increasing income with a turnover in excess of £1m.

You will have proven influencing and negotiation skills in order to lead staff and work with the management board. Customer service is of paramount importance, so you must be able to communicate with external and internal stakeholders at a senior level.
