Hillcrest - The Bartons is a registered Children's Home with education located in Oxfordshire. We are AALA (Adventure Activity Licensing Authority) certificated, and a Duke of Edinburgh Award Centre.

We are looking to recruit outward bound/water sports focused staff, ideally qualified to Instructor status in a variety of pursuits to work with adolescent boys in our care. Working pattern is 'Whole Time Working' - 7 days living in on site, followed by 7 days off shift (Monday-Monday). This working pattern enables staff to commute considerable distances, with current staff travelling from as far as North Devon and Germany.

Requirements
Having the abilities to be a good role model are essential along with the willingness to complete NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Health & Social Care for Children and Young People.

Hillcrest - The Bartons is a specialist children's home offering 52 week, 24 hour care, therapy and education for up to 8 boys between the ages of 11-16. The home enjoys a rural location in Middle Barton, a large village mid-way between Oxford and Banbury. Our location in the heart of the Cotswolds means that we are surrounded by stunning countryside with a large variety of delightful walks, woodlands and rivers to enjoy. An extensive outdoor activity programme ensures the young people take full advantage of all that this beautiful area has to offer. At Hillcrest - The Bartons we offer a wide range of structured activities to engage all of the young people. Particular focus is given to outdoor pursuits aimed at re-building low self-esteem, and restoring a positive self-image. We also work to identify and facilitate individual hobbies and interests to enable young people to spend constructive time away from the group. The Bartons has developed strong links with organisations such as The Air Training Corps, Army Cadet Force, Scouting Groups, local Football Associations, outdoor activity providers and equestrian centres.
