Description
Work hard, ski/board hard and maybe even play a little in the French Alps! As a family company, we can offer you, our staff, an amazing winter experience and great package.
Working with a small team, you will be committed to providing the top-level standards of customer service, spotless chalets and high quality catering for which Ski Bonjour is known. You will need to perform professionally and consistently throughout the length of the season.
You will be working in the largest of our six chalets alongside seven other staff and as well as organising 2 other chalet hosts your primary objective will be to help create a home from home, happy atmosphere. Not only will you be organising the service of guests at table, but you will also be eating with them each evening, and looking after them as if they were staying in your own home.
For our guests nothing is too much trouble.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Setting breakfast and dinner tables
• Serving all meals and clearing tables
• Cleaning all common areas such as sitting and dining rooms, toilets,
staircases and hallways
• Servicing of bedrooms and bathrooms
• Meeting and greeting new arrivals
• Dealing with day to day issues as they arise
• Skiing or boarding with our guests in a voluntary capacity
• Organise the laundry
We cannot overstate the impact that our staff have, on the success of our business and more importantly, the enjoyment of our guests' holiday. We are interested in both individuals and couples to fill our vacancies. You will be working for an independent, family run business, which has a reputation for staff care.
You MUST have: A fantastic sense of humour, an eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, great interpersonal skills and outstanding work ethics.
Requirements
You must have thorough previous housekeeping experience and possess at least two and preferably three of the following skills:
- Previous hotel/restaurant experience
- Experience working away from home before, preferably abroad
- An enthusiasm for mountain life with a good standard in skiing/boarding
- Cooking and kitchen skills
- Clean driving license, (age 25 years or over for insurance purposes)
- Conversational French
- DIY/maintenance experience
- Computer literacy and numeracy abilities are also helpful. Inc the ability to improve the quality of our facebook and youtube accounts creating video, photos and suitable posts etc.
You must be outgoing and confident! All applicants must be physically fit, a non-smoker, have a full UK National Insurance Number, UK passport or UK work permit valid for the duration of the season and UK bank account.<
