Description

 UK Youth is currently seeking a full time Chief Instructor to work at our outdoor activity centre, Avon Tyrrell, in the heart of the New Forest, http://www.avontyrrell.org.uk. This is an excellent opportunity to manage your own outdoor activity department and work in an enjoyable, busy atmosphere, delivering a wide range of field studies and adventurous outdoor activity programmes. You will be responsible for the department’s development, resources and use your expertise to ensure the delivery of high quality programmes to our visitors. You must share the ethos of learning and development through the promotion of outdoor experiences for all visitors to Avon Tyrrell. As part of the senior staff team you will be expected to contribute to the growth of Avon Tyrrell as an outdoor centre.
 
Avon Tyrrell offers a variety of adventurous & field studies activities, such as Raft Building, Canoeing, Kayaking, Ropes Course, Climbing & Abseiling, Archery, Mountain Biking, Swimming, Bushcraft & Forest Schools.

Requirements

 Excellent communication and management skills are required along with a good knowledge of health and safety requirements. With the ability to meet targets and achieve results you must be able to work under pressure, be thorough in your approach and flexible in meeting the changing and varied demands of the job. Previous experience of working in the Outdoor Industry is essential.  Previous applicants need not apply.
