The Camp Manager is the key position on the camp. Not only are you responsible for the daily running of the camp, the health and safety on site and the 'fit' person for OFSTED, you are also the person that between 10 - 35 people will look to for motivation, direction and leadership. It is very demanding, and although we provide telephone and a mobile support network, you are the main person on site.
The actual daily role depends greatly on the size of the camp. Managers whose camps have less than 100 children will be able to be involved in some activities, whilst those managers with over 200 children each day probably won't. The skills that your will draw upon will be quite different and the demands on your organisational skills will be higher. |
