Are you an experienced Camp Manager looking for something different for 3-5 weeks this Summer?
Our Area Co-ordinators need to be talented people with years of experience that can assist them in supporting a number of different managers in one geographical area.
Individual managers respond to different approaches and have different support needs. The Area Co-ordinator will know how to approach each person and give them the right amount of support to ensure that each camp runs effectively and efficiently.
Area Managers must also know all our policies or at least which manual they will be found in. Therefore additional training and involvement throughout the year is essential.
The key time of camps is their set up period and first two weeks. Area Managers are typically employed specifically for this period, which is ideal if you are also a teacher and do not want to give up your whole summer, although full summer employment is possible.
Area Co-ordinators work the full summer and support the Area Manager. They assist the Camp Management teams and advise on basic policy. They also distribute small items of equipment and perform basic repairs. In order to complete the role, further training is required throughout the year. |
