Description
UK Youth is currently seeking a full time Environmental Senior Instructor to manage and run its environmental department at its outdoor activity centre Avon Tyrrell, in the heart of the New Forest. Working in an enjoyable, busy atmosphere, you will be required to lead, instruct and develop on a wide range of environmental and some adventurous outdoor activity sessions. You will be responsible for our Forest Schools programs (depending on experience but training is available), and work with a diverse range of groups, including schools, youth groups, adults and individuals with additional support needs.
The environmental department offers a variety of curriculum linked programs such as Animal Tracking, Shelter Building, Discovery & Night Walks, Bushcraft, Art in the Environment and Pond Dipping.
Requirements
The successful candidate must possess a significant amount of experience in the provision of environmental education as well as having an interest in delivering adventurous activities. We strongly believe in continuous personal development and all activity staff receive a comprehensive training package, using internal and external trainers, NGB’s and soft skills training.
