Senior Activity Instructor

Description

Girlguiding UK is currently recruiting a Senior Activity Instructor to be based at Blackland Farm, reporting to the Assistant Manager.

Girlguiding UK is the largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women in the UK.

The role holder will be responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day work of the Activity Instructors and ensuring that facilities and equipment are checked and maintained in line with defined standards, ensuring that the relevant records relating to this are kept up to date. He or she must also plan and deliver sessions and staff training so that they are in line with agreed objectives and consistent with National Governing Body or industry standards.

Requirements

The successful applicant must be able to prioritise and organise his or her workload to meet objectives and deadlines, and have knowledge of a broad range of activities and their delivery. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed. Furthermore, the post holder must have specific skills and instructing qualifications in at least two of the activities the centre delivers.

Interviews will be held in the week commencing 20 February 2012 at Blackland Farm.
