ABOUT THE CENTRE
Since 1996 Stubbers has been an independent centre set up as a not
for profit company and registered charity. Although it has
charitable status the centre receives no funding other than revenue
and donations for new projects.
The centre is ideally situated to the North East of London where
the suburbs become greenbelt countryside.
Even so, Upminster tube station is 5 minutes from the centre and 25
minutes from the city on the District Line. The 370 bus stops right
outside the main gate. The M25 is a mere 10 minutes drive away
(junction 29) and the Dartford crossing 15 minutes drive.
Stubbers Adventure Centre covers 130 acres of beautiful grounds
that have been landscaped and have purpose built activity areas and
recreational facilities for both children and adults. Our client
base includes local and national school and youth groups as well as
families and individuals from the local community. The majority of
the site is taken up by the Adventure park which incorporates all
of the activity areas, recreational facilities and woodland and
grassy areas of the grounds including 3 lakes.
NEW for 2021 the park will also provide impressive recreational
facilities including 4 adventure play areas, park wide Discovery
trail, boating lake and Indoor Clip and climb facility.
OUR PARK VISITORS
Aside from booked activity visits, Stubbers is a very popular
destination and has many visitors from the local community.
Visitors pay a Park entrance fee giving them access to the grounds
for Adventure play areas, Young adventurers play beach or for
woodland walks or picnics. Pay and Go activities for these visits
include the Boating lake Pedalo’s, Caving system or Clip and climb
activities.
OUR ADVENTURERS
Schools and Youth organisations comprise the main body of our
adventurers and in the holidays we run SMASH activity camps, which
are very popular with the local children. We provide programmes for
special need groups including behavioural difficulties. The centre
also provides outdoor development programmes and fun events for
adults and companies too.
