Description

CBA Events is a full service event management company, founded in 2001 and we have an exciting opportunity to join our team, due to expansion. We are recruiting for the position of Instructor / Events Assistant; a person to be responsible for the support with delivery of corporate events and activities to our client base across the UK. Our portfolio is diverse and so we are looking for applicants who are equally comfortable fronting up the following events:

  • Team building / problem solving
  • Country Sports
  • Family Fun Days
  • Evening entertainment
  • Public Events
  • Conferences

Personality, attention to detail, experience, fun, well turned out and outgoing are the key attributes we require, however relevant NGB qualifications would be an advantage.

Whilst we require the above we are happy to provide training for the right candidate and put them through any missing qualifications. The successful applicant will have the energy, attitude and passion for events that the company management team possess. We insist on our team being great communicators whether on the ‘phone, in meetings, addressing large groups or via email; all of which should be undertaken in a professional manner but with an emphasis on relationship building and providing the client with a smooth and trouble free journey from enquiry to event.

Our office and warehouse are based in Keswick and so relocation within easy commuting distance is essential. Work takes us all over the UK and occasionally abroad and so a willingness to work anti-social hours, evenings and weekends is all part and parcel of a role within the events industry.

The job role will include:

  • Sales support
  • Assisting with proposal content
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Equipment purchase
  • Maintaining Risk Assessments and Company Health and Safety
  • Supplier / contractor management
  • Freelancer booking / management
  • Packing equipment for events and checking it back in
  • Warehouse management
  • Event management support
  • Instruction
  • Maintaining staff training
  • Vehicle maintenance (mechanical knowledge a bonus but by no means a necessity)

Requirements

Ideally, we would like applicants to have a minimum of 3 years working as an instructor and / or in the events industry.  The following NGB qualifications would be of benefit;

  • 4x4 off road driving (BORDA or LANTRA)
  • Clay Pigeon shooting
  • Canoeing / SUP/ Kayak
  • Archery
  • Summer ML
  • SPA
  • Trailer / Minibus
  • Powerboat
  • First Aid
