Working for Hampshire Outdoor Centres
Who we are
Whether we work in the office, maintaining the site or teaching
activities we all love the outdoors. Some of us get on the water as
much as possible, others enjoy nothing more than to conquer a new
cragg, and there are those who just love going for a stroll on the
beach in the mountains or through the forest.
What we do
Our four centres predominately provide adventurous activities
through day trips and residentials for schools, colleges and
universities.
All our centres have a fantastic selection of outdoor and indoor
activities to choose from, plus accommodation and facilities for
students with physical and learning difficulties. Our team aims to
ensure that all students have a positive and rewarding experience
which will enhance their personal development.
Where we work
Hampshire Outdoor Centres is made up of four amazing outdoor
centres.:
Runways End Outdoor Centre in Aldershot brings a touch of
the outdoors within a stones throw of Farnborough Airport.
Tile Barn Outdoor Centre is located in the
stunning New Forest and has a history going back to the first world
war when it operated as a military hospital.
Calshot Activities Centre, with its old
seaplane aircraft hangars, is the biggest of the four centres and
located in a prime position at the end of a spit of land surrounded
by the Solent.
The Hampshire Mountain Centre is nestled
in the Brecon Beacons and offers those who stay a taste of the
truly stunning Welsh landscape.
Who we want
We want enthusiastic, motivated staff who believe in the value of
what we do. Every role plays an important part in ensuring our
customers leave us with memories that last a lifetime. Being
outdoor centres mean the Instructional staff tend to get the glory.
Although they are amazing at what they do, we all know if it wasn’t
for the support staff in the background making the bookings,
talking to the customers and fixing the broken kit the instructors
wouldn’t be able to run those inspiring sessions.
