Watersports centres are located on inland lakes, rivers and coastal locations. The RYA (Royal Yachting Association) recognises over 2,500 RYA recognised training centres in 58 countries worldwide.

Watersports  instructor jobs require candidates to have a certain level of experience alongside accredited qualifications such as national governing body teaching awards, e.g. RYA for sailing, windsurfing and power boating.
